That said, I absolutely LOVE the feel of crashes in this game, and I love how the Drivatars drive, though I'm sure most serious racing game fans probably feel the opposite way. Everyone on your team talks way too much about everything, whether you're racing or just popping into the garage to do some upgrades. The car culture stuff is crammed down your throat, and you're forced to go to car meets and whatnot. Attempting to take a shortcut in the open world is too often punished as you find yourself spending ten times longer to get out of your attempted "shortcut" to get back to the path the game wants you to take. Reflections and LODs are really distracting. Graphically, it hasn't aged well, as it didn't receive any sort of X enhancements. Forza Horizon 2 - This one's kind of a mess, in my opinion.I love this game for its structure, as your rivals have so much more personality than is typical for racing games, something completely absent from the later games in the series. Forza Horizon - Easily the most restrictive in the series, but it works very well, given the Colorado setting.Forza Horizon 3 - Better music and better world than 4, but everything else is kind of a step or two back compared to 4.Plus, it has The Eliminator, which is Battle Royale with cars. Some people give 4 a hard time because there's so much to do, but 4 does a better job of letting you do what you want to while allowing you to almost completely ignore what you don't want to do.
Forza horizon 4 ultimate edition physical copy series#
I've never bought anything beyond the standard edition in the Motorsport series, but I can always count on the Horizon series to deliver so I don't mind opting for the most expensive edition to support PG's work. However, this time I went with Digital (My FH3 ultimate was a physical copy). Forza Horizon 4 - Only 3 beats 4 as far as the world goes, but 4 makes up for this with more freedom in terms of what you can drive through. Like I did with FH3, I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition.
I do think there's a reason to check out each installment.
